Xavier International College Journal (XICJ) is a peer reviewed journal, which is designed to publish research articles in Engineering & Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Management, Sciences, Social Science, Education, Accounting & Finance. Prime Focus of this Journal is to publish articles related to the current trends of research. This Journal provides the platform with the aim of motivating the students and personnel for research and development in multiple disciplines.
With the blend of a verity of subject matter in a single platform, this journal will of course play a vital role for research practitioner and students from different subject fields. Being a compilation of different 13 articles from environmental science, microbiology, engineering & IT, psychology, social work, account & finance, and management etc. this project became a multidisciplinary in approach.
Job satisfaction describes how content an individual is with his or her job. It is a relatively recent term since in previous centuries the jobs available to a particular person were often predetermined by the occupation of that person’s parent. There are a variety of factors that can influence a person’s level of job satisfaction. Some of these factors include the level of pay and benefits, the perceived fairness of the promotion system within a company, the quality of the working conditions, leadership and social relationships.
Innocence has been defined as quality of not having much experience or knowing about bad things that happen in life. It is also called naivete, straightforwardness, candor, sincerity, artlessness, simplicity and ignorance in other words. Innocence is absence of sophistication or worldly experience. It is freedom from cunning or guile. Other synonyms are naturalness, simplemindedness, simpleness and simplicity. This is a new construct for psychology. In fact, use of word ‘sojho’ is very commonplace to mean a personality trait of naïvetés in Nepal. The digital version of Nepali Brihat Shabdakosh mentions its meaning as somebody who does not do trickery, and is honest and simple. ‘Sojhopan’ is its noun inflective.
The status of women empowerment in relation to culture and traditional system is slowly increasing because of the laws, programs, and policies of the government but the result is on the way to satisfactory only because Nepali society is still guided by orthodox thoughts and belief system which creates the hindrance in the mainstreaming women in the development process. Patriarchal thoughts, preferences, and priority to son/male, cultural practice and belief system are the factors which are creating problems in the process of women empowerment.
From this study it is concluded that only making laws, policies and programs are not sufficient for the proper transformation of the life of women. Both male and female members of the society are guided by the deep rooted cultural and traditional practice system. To empower women cultural and traditional system needs to be transformed and awareness level needs to be increased.
About 15 % of the world population has some kind of disability among which 2-4 % experience significant dysfunction. Negative attitude toward disability affect the integration of the person in society ultimately leading to loss of potential resource. Also, negative perceptions can lead to low self-esteem, and isolation which might consequently lead to a long term social effect and burden.
The result showed the self-esteem and life satisfaction to be less in differently abled as compared to abled adults and there was positive correlation among self-esteem and life satisfaction of people of both the group. We believe this study will lay a foundation for further studies with greater sample size. We strongly recommend further studies in this domain addressing all the confounders.
Solid wastes are the major issues in the environmental pollution and diseases. The knowledge of solid waste management is a vital spread. Advance knowledge of management of the solid waste in the school children is useful in lowering the wastes. These methods have been fruitful in lowering the solid waste production as well as the management.
Carbon emission on the environment is the global issue in today’s world. This study helps to access tree biomass and soil organic carbon stock in a community forest. This result can serve as baseline information for future carbon monitoring in the community forest and for sustainable management of forest.
The emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance is crucial problem in the context of Nepal. Ampc Β-Lactamase is one of the major problems in the circumstances. The prevalence of Ampc Β-Lactamase and ESBL Β-Lactamase are of major concern in this support.
An architecture that uses a data warehouse platform to merge the government organization database in one common warehouse with e-government technologies, which increases the sharing of information among different department itself and with other organizations and departments.
Currency features micro lettering, see-through registers, security threads, governor’s signature. The paper on “Nepali currency detection and denomination using ASIFT algorithm”, describes an approach to develop a system for the denominating and detection of currency in context to Nepal.
All the way from an individual study unit and test of innocence from psychology; to the blend of Nepalese commerce and rural farming aspect; to the social and cultural aspect on women empowerment; to the use IT and data management in e-governance and use of ASIFT algorithm in currency detection and denomination; this project has come very fine to became a melting pot of the empirical knowledge and expertise from diverse field.
Though it was a very challenging journey to come through all this way, XICJ family does very well accept this challenge and come up with a very fine final project.
